The bridge linking the Dodder Greenway to Bushy Park in Terenure is now open.
A new carpark has been constructed, a new pedestrian/cyclist crossing point added, and a 4-metre wide shared-use footpath and cyclepath bridge now connects Dodder View Road across the River Dodder into Bushy Park.
The bridge curves to the side inside the park, and there’s a tight turn once it meets the existing path.
New lighting and upgraded paths lead from the bridge, then past the band stand, tennis courts, and out onto Rathdown Avenue.
Both walkers and cyclists will now have a good quality off-road route between Rathfarnham Village and the area around Terenure College.
